Suryo is an Indonesian Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant of Indonesia and also an Associate of Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) holder from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), United Kingdom.

He holds Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universitas Brawijaya and Magister of Administrasi Bisnis (MAB) from School of Business & Management ITB and Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from  Aalto University, Finland.

Prior to co-establishing S&R , he has worked with the “Big-4” firms: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Indonesia, Ernst & Young Indonesia, Pricewaterhouse Coopers Belgium (2006-2007) and KPMG Indonesia (Sidharta Widjaja) as a Senior Manager. He also was a Belgian SOX Compliance Coordinator with Komatsu Europe International NV in Brussels – Belgium, a senior management at Astra Zeneca Asia Pacific, a Senior Management at Bentoel Group (member of British American Tobacco), Country Financial Controller of PT. Reckitt Benckiser and CFO of PT. Luxindo Group (Vorwerk Group Germany). 

He has more than 20 years working experience, with expertise and exposure are doing audit (multi-countries engagement experience in Belgium, The Netherlands and France), merger and acquisition, corporate finance & treasury, IFRS implementation (led accounting stream in PT Pertamina (Persero) and its subsidiaries), US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and J-SOX, Belgian SOX Compliance, SAP implementation, business restructuring, Financial Share Service Center Creation, CFO services in diverse national, multinational and international company in various industries, including, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, heavy equipment, retail, trading, telecommunication, banking, multi finance, agriculture, chemical, oil and gas, and not for profit organization.
